Personalized Nutrition Care Built Around You
When you have tried eating better, exercising more, following meal plans, or cutting calories without getting the results you expected, it can feel like your body is working against you. The problem may not be a lack of effort. Your symptoms, hormones, digestion, metabolism, medications, stress, sleep, health history, and relationship with food can all affect how your body responds. Our registered dietitians take the time to understand the full picture so you can stop guessing and begin making changes that make sense for your body and your life.
You will not be expected to follow a plan that was designed for someone else.
Nutrition Counseling for Your Health Concerns
Our registered dietitians provide personalized nutrition counseling for adults experiencing concerns such as:
- Weight management
- Hormonal changes
- Polycystic ovary syndrome, including PCOS/PMOS
- Insulin resistance
- Prediabetes and diabetes
- Digestive symptoms
- High cholesterol
- Fatty liver disease
- Fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum nutrition
- Fatigue and low energy
- Inflammation
- Food anxiety
- Disordered eating patterns
- Difficulty maintaining healthy habits
You do not need to know exactly what is causing your symptoms before scheduling an appointment. Your dietitian will help you look at the different factors that may be affecting how you feel.
More Than a Meal Plan
A meal plan can tell you what to eat. It cannot explain why your body is responding the way it is or account for everything happening in your daily life.
Your dietitian will look beyond calories and food lists to understand:
- Your symptoms and health history
- Your typical daily schedule
- Your eating patterns
- Your food preferences
- Your sleep, stress, and activity levels
- Your medications and supplements
- Your relationship with food
- Your available lab results
- The goals that matter to you
Together, you will build a realistic nutrition plan that fits into your life rather than expecting your life to revolve around a rigid plan.
What to Expect
1. Schedule Your Appointment
Choose an available appointment and provide your current contact information.
2. Complete Your Intake Forms
Submit the required intake forms with your health history, symptoms, goals, and insurance information. These details give us what we need to understand your reason for care and review the benefits available under your insurance policy.
3. We Check Your Benefits
Our team reviews your insurance information and checks the Medical Nutrition Therapy and preventive benefits available under your specific policy. We will contact you with the information available to us, including any known copay, deductible, coinsurance, visit limit, referral requirement, diagnosis requirement, or other plan restriction.
4. Meet With Your Dietitian
5. Continue With Follow-Up Support
Follow-up appointments provide ongoing education, accountability, and adjustments as your needs change. Your dietitian will help you build on what is working, work through obstacles, and create changes you can realistically maintain.
A Deeper Look at Your Lab Results
Lab results can provide valuable information when they are considered alongside your symptoms, eating patterns, health history, and lifestyle.
Your dietitian can review available lab results from a nutrition perspective and look for patterns connected with areas such as:
- Blood sugar regulation
- Cholesterol and cardiovascular health
- Nutrient levels
- Thyroid health
- Hormonal health
- Inflammation
- Liver health
- Energy and metabolism
This review does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment from your physician. It gives your dietitian additional information that can help guide your nutrition recommendations and identify questions you may want to discuss with your medical provider.
Insurance May Cover Nutrition Counseling
Many insurance policies include Medical Nutrition Therapy under or as part of their preventive benefits.
Coverage varies by insurance company and individual policy. After you schedule your appointment and complete your intake forms, our team will check the benefits available under your plan and share the information provided by your insurance company.
Insurance companies do not guarantee payment when benefits are verified. You are responsible for charges that are not covered by your policy.
Nutrition Changes You Can Maintain
The goal is not to give you another short-term plan that leaves you feeling restricted, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to do next.
Your dietitian will help you understand what may be affecting your body, feel more confident about your food choices, and develop habits you can continue using outside of your appointments.
You deserve nutrition care that considers more than a number on the scale.
